Rob Easley

-Hawaii 2015-

Sergeant Rob Easley is a veteran of the US Army.  He was an Ordinance Specialist whose job was to search for IEDs.  In October of 2012, while on  a mission in Afghanistan, he lost both legs and fingers on one hand.

Rob has undergone several new procedures to allow his legs to accept new prosthetics and improve his mobility.  It has been a long and arduous process including months of limited movement.  For a couple who hoped someday to travel the world, Rob's injuries and recovery process seemed like a blow to their dreams.

In 2015, Rob and Megan spent four days in Maui on Kannapali Beach and three days in Honolulu at Waikiki Beach. While in Honolulu they visited the USS Arizona Memorial then spent six days on Kauai at beautiful Poipu Beach where they enjoyed the wonderful sites on the Garden Island including Napali Coast and Waimea Canyon.

During their travels they took a helicopter ride, swam with sea turtles, enjoyed a Luau, snorkeled, and surfed with Kauai firemen who teach adaptive surfing at Hanalei Bay on the North Shore.

Thanks to the generosity of American Airlines, our official airline sponsor, Rob was able to fly comfortably in first class to Hawaii.
