Nick Eufrazio
-Maine 2017-
Lance Corporal Nick Eufrazio of Plymouth, MA, suffered devastating wounds while serving in Afghanistan. He was injured in a grenade attack while atop a roof during combat. His buddy who was next to him was awarded the Medal of Honor for saving Nick's life. Nick suffered a severe brain injury as a result of the attack and has the top of his skull covered by a titanium plate. He is currently confined to a wheel chair although he is beginning to learn how to walk.

In honor of Nick's service and sacrifice, Vacations for Warriors was proud to be able to send Nick and his family on a week-long vacation to Acadia National Park, Maine during the summer of 2017. They stayed in an 1860's Saltwater Farmhouse in Corea Harbor, Maine. The family was treated to a day of ocean fishing and lobstering by former Marine Phillip Torrey and a fish fry by the local Elks Lodge in Ellsworth, Maine. Board members from Vacations for Warriors and Elks members from the Elks Lodge 1650 in Littleton, CO, journeyed from Colorado to Maine to go fishing with Nick and attend the fish fry with this Marine Hero.
