Jose Sanchez

Army Sergeant Jose Sanchez of Clearwater, FL, served honorably in the US Army and the New York Army National Guard for a total of 33 years. First in the Signal Corps and then as an 11B20 Infantryman. He is 100% disabled as a result of his service to our Nation.

Jose served for four months with the New York National Guard at Ground Zero right after 9/11 searching for human remains from the Twin Towers.
​
He also was called to active duty with the Army Reserve and served his country in Afghanistan as a 53 year old infantryman. He suffered a traumatic brain injury and PTSD as a result of incoming mortar explosions while in combat in Afghanistan. He spent several months at Walter Reed in rehabilitation.

Vacations for Warriors honored Jose and his fiancé with a Caribbean Cruise in the Spring of 2017
and they had a wonderful time.
